By OUR STAFF REPORTER RISHIKESH, 10 May: The illegal money kept in foreign banks can be brought back only if a BJP-led NDA government comes to power, said Chief Minister BC Khanduri while addressing a public meeting at Dhalwala and Chaudah Bigah here, today. Khanduri appealed to the gathering to vote in support of BJP candidates for internal and external security of the nation and to obtain relief from inflation and corruption. The NDA government’s greatest achievement when in power was testing the nuclear device in Pokhran. Panicked by this, the countries, including America, imposed economic sanctions, but these were successfully countered. He said it had become necessary to bring back the money collected through various scams in the country and kept in foreign banks. Congress had done nothing in its five year tenure towards development, which was initiated by the BJP in two years, said Khanduri. He said that BJP had fulfilled all the promises made by it, while the Congress worked for self-interest in place of the nation. Such parties had to be removed from power. He also urged for votes in support of Pauri BJP candidate TPS Rawat. Present on the occasion were Sandeep Gupta, Vice-President of Sugarcane Development Board, Kusum Kandwal, and other office bearers.
