HALDWANI, 9 May: ‘In the present scenario, after looking at the environment and the economic condition of India and the neighbouring countries, it has become necessary to vote for the right candidate in the election. It can change the direction of the country in terms of development, economic situation and all other fronts. Bachi Singh Rawat is the deserving candidate from the Nainital seat.’
This said by the Chief Minister, BC Khanduri, while addressing a public meeting here today.
He said that the NDA Government provided golden governance to the nation during its tenure, while the UPA Government only misused power, exploitated the nation and made policies to misguide the public during its tenure of five years. It had also implemented biased policies after the coming of BJP to power in the state. It reduced the food quota, LPG gas quota and also decreased the duration of the Industrial Package from 10 years to 7 years that was provided to the state at the time of the Vajpayee Government.
‘The Kanya Dhan Yojana, Gaura Devi Dhan Yojana, 108 Mobile Service, Srinagar Medical College and the jobs given to 30,000 people in the state without any kind of bribe were the achievements of the BJP in the last two years,’ he added
LS candidate Bachida said that the public of India was looking towards LK Advani to solve the problems of India. In 1998, the party made history by winning all the five seats in the state and, this time, the conditions were even better.
He appealed to the people to vote for the BJP, as Advani was the person who played a specific role in the formation of Uttarakhand and provided the status of Special Category state to it within six months.
