CM inaugurates College in Vikasnagar

By OUR STAFF REPORTER Vikasnagar: 20 June: Chief Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ inaugurated the Sant Bhawan Educational Trust’s, ‘SB College of Education’, here, today. In his address to the students, Nishank said that with the establishment of the institution, students would be able to enrol in and study high-quality programmes in Information Technology in their own region. He also said that the state government was committed to continuously making Uttarakhand an educational hub. Nishank listed the reputed universities in Uttarakhand and said that the state was proud to house the world-famous IIT in Roorkee, besides the Pant Nagar University, Petroleum University and others. He further said that the state government had provided MBBS education at Srinagar Medical College and Haldwani Medical College for a minimum fee of Rs 15,000 to students from marginalised backgrounds. He urged the members of the Trust to make the institution famous for its high-quality education and to become a milestone in the area of private, higher-education in Uttarakhand. Earlier, Nishank presented the first five students to take admission in the college with laptops.
