Ramnagar, 29 Apr
: Chief Minister BC Khanduri addressed an election meeting at Maldhan Chaur, No-2, here, today.
There was big gathering of the public to listen to the Chief Minister. Khanduri addressed the public and appealed to voters to support TPS Rawat, the BJP candidate for the Pauri Lok Sabha seat.
CM Khanduri said that his state government had done many development works during the two years of his tenure. He told the public about the achievements of NDA Government under Vajpayee. Claiming that the former BJP government had removed corruption in the country, he alleged that the present UPA government was encouraging it in a big way.
Pointing out that the Congress government had not been able to control rise in prices, he asserted that prices of everything were increasing at a rapid pace. The public was facing a lot of problems due to the unfavourable policies of the Congress government. The cause of uncontrolled price rise, he added, was corruption, for which the Congress was responsible.
Khanduri added that there were Rs 90,00,000 crores of black money deposited in foreign banks. LK Advani wanted the money to be brought back to the country, but Congress was not agreeable. He questioned the clean chit given to Quattrochi by Congress.
He accepted the problems faced by forest villagers, but also said that the UPA Government at the Centre was not cooperative in this regard.
CM BC Khanduri appealed to the public to vote in favor of BJP to remove corruption and for transparent governance.
BJP candidate TPS Rawat, BJP leader Balraj Pasi and other leaders also addressed the public before the Chief Minister’s address.
TPS Rawat promised to develop the area. He said that, if he won the election, he would leave no stone unturned to provide every facility to the people here.
MLA Deewan Singh Bisht, Bhagirath Lal Chaudhary, Madan Maheswari, Urmila Chaudhary, Basanti Arya, Sudeep Masiwal, Ved Bansal, Narendra Sharma, Pankaj Pande, Nirmla Rawat, Rakesh Nainwal, etc., were present at the CM’s election meeting.  a
