DEHRADUN, 26 July: Demanding employment for the past many months now, BEd/ BPEd trainees today staged a massive protest at the Secretariat, here.
Dozens of BEd unemployed graduates, under the banner of their organisation, formed a rally and marched to the Secretariat. But they were stopped just before the Secretariat by police through barricading, resulting in an exchange of blows from both sides.
The protestors also tried to sneak into the Secretariat forcibly, but were prevented to do so by police personnel. Later they also staged a dharna in front of the Secretariat.
